too old for i love yous???!!!!!

i_love_you

Well, last night was a sad night for this Mommy of 3 boys. (Little bit of background first.) I work at the kids school in the front office. I get the joy of seeing them walk through the school and am able to say hello. My 8th grader usually greets me with a slight wave and I acknowledge back with the same kind of wave or just a nice smile. not too much to embarrass him of course. wink wink...and the twins..well they are still at that age where you can blow them kisses and send 'i love you' signs.
SO I THOUGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last night I asked Joel if he saw me give him the I love you sign in sign language as we walked by my office. He said yessssssssss i did....(rolling his eyes the whole time) I asked why he wasnt happy about it. He said that I embarrassed him in front of his friends. the NERVE!! how dare i?? he didnt say those words, but that is what i was thinking. I asked why it embarrassed him and he said because we dont do that anymore, mom! we are 7 now!

haha...he is so funny. he said it so matter of factly too. so, i guess i am left to waving to the sweet little kindergarteners who love the attention. boo hoo. i will leave now and have the pity party i feel i deserve. :)

New House...new rules

So....we have moved into our new home. yippee! the other house has FINALLY sold! and we settle in just a few short weeks. As we are adjusting to the new house and new rules, I thought it would be sweet to share a letter that Joel wrote to his principal, Mr. Kennedy. It is very funny and he wants to change the rules at school. So here you go,

"Dear Mr. Kennedy,
Our school is nice, but we need to skip a grade to 8th grade and you need to let us bring our hampsters if we have any, skatebords, Heelys, bikes, jumps for our bikes and skateboards too and PS1 (playstation 1), PS2, PS3 too.
Yours Truly, Joel Michael Marzola"

So sweet. Of course I had to laugh about the hamsters...haha...
more on the house later. P.S. just so everyone knows, if you come to the house and see the 'chunk' of sofa missing, it did take a flying leap out the back of the truck! haha...very funny story!

alls well that ends well

ok for those of you who 'truly' know me, know that I am just this crazy fun loving blonde girl who still thinks life is a bed of roses! ha!

seriously, though. I do LOVE life but right now i think this is the most stressed out I have ever been. You say why?? i am so glad you asked. It all started last week BEFORE Greg and Nate left. The whole grocery store experience in itself is pitiful. I hate/despise grocery shopping. why cant we just buy all our needs at Trader Joe's? i love that store. I do however, hate Shoppers/Mars/Giant. Too many aisles and too many items. not to mention the very slow checker outers at shoppers! whoa! this girl kept coughing in her hand then touching ALL my stuff! yuck! i actually grabbed my bananas. (that sounds so wrong, but totally makes me laugh when i say it out loud) no but really, i rang up my bananas. again-funny. i didnt want her nasty germs all over them. so then she took my carrots and they dumped out on the belt. no lie either. so pitiful. i hate grocery shopping. never easy. sooooo...when i got home Greg said someone was coming to see the house and believe me, the house was a giant Mess!!! so we had to do the 10 second/minute tidy! it worked, they came, they saw, they said it was nice but wanted to look at other houses! OF COURSE!!!!!!!!!!!! geesh...i am tired of hearing that excuse! ok, so on to my short story made long.

Greg and Nate left VERY early Friday morning. all went well with that. they have arrived in Costa Rica safe and sound. I got a call Friday morning saying that the people who looked at our house on wed. wanted to see it again on Saturday! woohoo! so i had to do the 10 sec. tidy again. but with a better attitude of course.NOT! i really dont like this real estate game. so i was in rush to get out the door at 9 in the AM! with twin 7 year olds to boot! we were rushing and i told the boys to take Gregs work bag to the car. they did. but what I didnt know was that they dropped gregs work phone out of the bag. I didn't know this until of course I RAN IT OVER!!!!!!!!! uh oh! it still works. amazing. but you cant see who is calling you or who you are calling. hahah...greg is so gonna laugh. but it gets better. you see, i have no way of reaching my dear hubby while he is off enjoying the nice warm weather in south america! of course i get a call saying these people want to buy the house! of course!!!! my eyes are rolling right now. haha.

so, needless to say, our house has sold. Pending inspections and all that crap. yes, i did just say crap. hehe. leave me alone. i now have at least 10 more gray hairs thanks to this fine experience. i had to make every decision without my dear hubby. thankfully, he called today and is very pleased with the decision. praise God!

there you have it, my weekend in a nutshell! but on another note: I did win a Vera Bradley purse at a bingo on Friday! now thats something to be thankful for!! thanks to normie for inviting me! and for her sister too! yay.thanks! well, until the next blog-a-roo! love to all!

Snow dAy!

I love snow days!!

yes, the weather really doesn't "look" bad, but let's just pretend it does. Who cares anyway. It's a free day off from school. And I have lots of packing to do. Not for the move, but for Greg and Nate to get ready to leave for Costa Rica. Why am I packing anyway? Maybe because they won't pack the right items. haha. Yes, it is true. I don't even think Greg has even thought about what he will pack. Soooo...I will be doing that today. And of course we have a showing today at 1pm. That's if they don't cancel like they did yesterday. Will this house ever sell??????? of course it will! When Greg is in another country and can't be here or be available for a phone call. hahah...God truly has a sense of humor!

And on the subject of humor, Joel was quite humorous yesterday. So innocent, yet so funny! He checked out a book from the 'media center'...aka..library at school. And it is a Human Body book. (YAY) well......he proceeds to tell me ( as I did notice some very interesting illustrations) that he now knows why we have "holes" in our bellies. hahah...of course right about now I was scared to death what might be said. He said it was because when we are in our Mom's belly we have strings attached to her belly so we don't fall out! ahahhaaha....he is so funny. And he doesn't even know how funny that statement was. He just kept reading his book and never even mentioned it again. Ahhh...how I love this age!

ho hummmmmm

ok, so i dont usually post depressing blogs...but here goes! I am so irritated with this house stuff! i mean, why do people take the time to set up an appointment to go look at someones house that is for sale, and then decide..nah...not for me. I mean, seriously, didnt they see the pics online?? or on the flyer? dorks! that is what they are! I think they start out their day wondering whose hopes they might give up today. lets go see this one honey and then decide..nah its too small, or its just too old. what do they WANT?? if they want a 750k house for 250k, they aint gettin it here!! i am so tired of wondering if this place will EVER sell. ok, now that i have vented, i think i feel slightly better. thanks for listening. :)
